Scheduling a Job in NetSuite

You can schedule jobs that you have added to NetSuite for NSPB Sync.

Important:

Before you start scheduling jobs for NSPB Sync, read the following information:

  • To execute the Data Management jobs in NetSuite, you need to schedule the following script deployments properly:

    • NSPB MR DLR Scheduler, ID customdeploy_nspbcs_mr_dlr_scheduler

    • NSPB SS Job status update, ID customdeploy_nspbcs_dlr_status_update

For instructions, see Scheduling Script Deployments for NSPB Sync.

  • Some NetSuite accounts do not support scheduled jobs. This includes some, but not all, test drive accounts (that is, accounts where the account ID begins with TSTDRV). If that is your case, the scheduling of job execution will not work for you.

To schedule a job in NetSuite:

  1. Log in to NetSuite, and go to Planning & Budgeting > Jobs > Manage Jobs.

  2. On the Planning & Budgeting Jobs page, do one of the following:

    • In the list of jobs, click Edit next to a job of your choice.

    • If you do not see the job in the list, and you have the Administrator role, click the Add Job button, and follow steps 3 through 6 in Adding a Job in NetSuite.

  3. Click the Schedule subtab, and do the following:

    1. From the Frequency dropdown list, select how often you want the job to be executed within a scheduled period. The available options include the following:

      • Not Scheduled to inactivate the schedule

      • Simple to run the job only one time

      • Hourly to run the job every hour

      • Daily to run the job every day

      • Weekly to run the job on a particular day of the week

      • Monthly to run the job on a particular day of the month

    2. Determine the date and time when you want to regularly run the job. Depending on the frequency you have selected, you have the following options:

      • Start Date

      • End Date

      • Hours

      • Minutes

      • Day of Week

      • Day of Month

      Note:

The date and time you define for job execution reflects the time zone of your NetSuite account.

    3. If you want to pause the schedule, check the Pause Scheduler box. Until you resume the schedule, the job that runs on the schedule stops running and does not show in Jobs Calendar.

  4. Click Save.
