Delivered AI Agents and Agentic Apps
Delivered AI agents provide predefined AI functionality using Oracle AI for Fusion Applications. Agencies can use delivered agents as provided, copy delivered templates to create agency-specific agents, or configure embedded AI functionality that appears directly in Oracle Permitting and Licensing pages and workflows.
Some agents use Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) documents that your agency provides to support responses with agency-specific reference content.
In AI Agent Studio, filter by Family = PSC to view Public Sector agents available for Business Licenses, Code Enforcement, Permits, and Planning and Zoning. Agents in Common Components can retrieve application-related information from multiple Oracle Permitting and Licensing products.
Let's take a look at the types of AI functionality available in Oracle Permitting and Licensing:
|
Types of AI Functionality |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Embedded AI |
AI appears in an existing page, drawer, or business flow. No AI Agent Studio template copy is required. |
|
Template |
Copy or use a delivered template in AI Agent Studio, then publish the configured agent. |
|
Page-integrated agent |
Add or expose an AI Assist control or agent code on an extensible application page. |
|
Runnable or workflow agent |
Invoke the agent from a configured action, tile, rule, or workflow. |
|
Scheduled agent |
Configure and publish an AI Agent Studio workflow that runs on a schedule. |
|
RAG-enabled agent |
Provide agency-specific documents for the agent to use when generating responses. |
|
Agentic app |
Use a workspace that coordinates multiple workflow agents to support review, recommendations, and actions. |
Your agency can use delivered agents out-of-the-box or as templates to create your own. For more information about setup, including embedding the AI Assist button for access to agents, see Adding AI Agents to Application Pages. Some agents require the agency to provide a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) document, which enhances a large language model's (LLM) responses by providing it with external, factual information.
These are standard steps to add AI agents for Oracle Permitting and Licensing:
-
Enable AI for your offerings in the Functional Setup Manager.
-
Set up the appropriate security for AI Agents.
For more information, see Securing AI Agents and Agentic Apps.
-
Copy the AI agent templates in the AI Agent Studio.
For more information, see Configuring Templates and Documents in AI Agent Studio.
-
Add the AI agent to the appropriate page by using the extensibility tools in Visual Builder Studio.
For more information, see Adding AI Agents to Application Pages.
