You now have two methods to calculate the actual effort of learner progress: Final Attempt and Sum of All Attempts.

  • Final Attempt: The actual effort is how long it took the learner to complete their final attempt, whether they passed or failed it.

  • Sum of All Attempts: The actual effort is the total time it took the learner to complete all attempts, including the final attempt, whether they passed or failed them.

These options are available for any content type configured for multiple attempts, such as online courses, assessments, and observer checklists. Self-assess checklists are excluded because they always allow only one attempt.

Also, how the catalog and enrollment details pages show the expected and actual effort was improved. Time reporting is now more intuitive and accurate, with all effort for any learning type shown in a clear hours and minutes format, such as 1h 30m, instead of decimal hours, such as 0.52h.
