Attendance Tracking Enhancements
Now, when you set up attendance rules, you can specify if a manager needs to acknowledge a violation. You can also decide how many days the manager has to act before the violation is automatically dismissed.
Acknowledgment Required and Delay Before Dismissal Parameters on Attendance Rules
When Manager Acknowledgment Is Required
The manager gets a notification about the attendance violation and they can acknowledge or dismiss the violation from the notification or the Attendance Violations page.
- Acknowledge: The violation status changes from Not Reviewed to Acknowledged and the worker gets the related points.
- Dismiss: The violation status changes from Not Reviewed to Dismissed and the worker doesn't get the related points.
- No action: The status remains Not Reviewed and the worker doesn't get the points.
With no deadline, the manager can act at any time, up until the notification expires or the points can no longer be granted--as set in attendance rules. With a deadline, the manager needs to act before the deadline, or the app automatically dismisses the violation.
If the manager has the Override Attendance Violation Statuses privilege, they can change the violation status even after acknowledging or dismissing violation by clicking the appropriate option on the page.
When Manager Acknowledgment Isn’t Required
Both the manager and worker get an FYI notification about the violation. Managers can dismiss violations from the Attendance Violations page if they have the override privilege.
By default the violation status is Applied and the worker automatically gets points. If the violation is dismissed, the status changes from Applied to Dismissed and the worker's points are removed.
These enhancements give you more control and clarity over how attendance violations are managed, making it easier to keep track of important actions and deadlines.
