Redwood: Reserve and Unreserve Multiple Order Lines

You can now search and select order lines on the redesigned Sales Order Lines page in the Order Management work area, and then apply an action that reserves or unreserves supply for the selected lines in Oracle Inventory Management.

Reserve Line

Try it:

1. Use keywords, attributes, and filters to search your order lines.
2. Select one or more order lines in the search result. You can select lines across more than one sales order.
3. Click Reserve to reserve them.
4. Click Action Status to see the result. 

Make sure the Line Status contains Manual Reservation Required. You can use the reserve action only when the orchestration process that's processing the order line is currently on the reservation task for a manual reservation.

Unreserve Line

Do the same steps that you do to reserve, except click Unreserve. You can use the unreserve action only when the orchestration process that's processing the order line already reserved the line.

• Improve performance when you reserve or unreserve a large volume of order lines across orders. You can also continue doing your job while it runs in the background.
• Efficiently track and report on your reserve and unreserve actions.
• Improve productivity. Use fewer clicks to search and apply your actions.

Steps to Enable

You must set up the Redwood: Search and Apply Actions on Multiple Sales Orders feature.

Tips And Considerations

• A scheduled process will process the actions right after you apply them. Use the Action Status page and the Action Report page to track and get details about your action.
• You can use the Sales Order Action Requests REST API to reserve and unreserve a large volume of order lines across sales orders.
• Order Management doesn’t create a new revision for the sales order when you reserve or unreserve a line.
• You can’t reserve or unreserve a line on a revision order.
• If you reserve or unreserve an order line that's in a shipment set, then Order Management will reserve or unreserve all the lines in that set.
• You can’t reserve or unreserve an included item, option class, or optional item in a configured item or kit. You must reserve or unreserve the configured item or the kit to reserve or unreserve all of its children.

If the request status in the action report indicates that the request was successful to:

• Reserve the line. Oracle Inventory Management successfully reserved and updated the order line. If there's an error, then Oracle Order Management sets the order line back to its original state and displays the error in the action report.
• Unreserve the line. Inventory Management successfully cancelled the reservation and the order line isn't reserved anymore. If there's an error, then the action report displays it.

Access Requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges can access this feature:

• View Orders (FOM_VIEW_ORDERS_PRIV)
• Mass Reserve Orchestration Order Fulfillment Lines (DOO_MASS_RESERVE_ORCHESTRATION_ORDER_FULFILLMENT_LINES_PRIV)
• Mass Unreserve Orchestration Order Fulfillment Lines (DOO_MASS_UNRESERVE_ORCHESTRATION_ORDER_FULFILLMENT_LINES_PRIV)
