Sequence Flow Schedules for a Production Line Using the Scheduling Strategy Defined in Production Scheduling

Lean manufacturers employing flow manufacturing require accurate sequencing on their production lines to ensure balanced workloads, efficient material and labor usage, and reduced waste. Ineffective sequencing can lead to operational challenges such as line imbalances, bottlenecks, and excess inventory.

You can now sequence flow schedules for a production line using the scheduling strategy for an attribute sequence or rule-based sequence as defined in Production Scheduling.

Sequence Flow Schedules for a Production Line

Specify the following sequencing parameters and submit the request to sequence flow schedules:

• From Date: Refers to the start date of the sequencing horizon.
• Sequencing Horizon in Days: Refers to the number of days from the start date of the sequencing horizon beyond which flow schedules will not be considered for sequencing.
