Modeler
Modeler is a visual graph modeling environment that enables you to design, create, and edit SQL and PGQL property graphs. It provides interactive tools for graph modeling, automatic graph generation, AI-assisted graph creation, and direct editing of graph definitions.
Using Modeler, you can:
-
Automatically generate a property graph from foreign key relationships.
-
Visually create a property graph by adding vertices and edges to the canvas.
-
Create a copy of an existing property graph and modify it.
-
Create, review, and modify property graphs using natural language with Graph AI Assistant.
-
Edit existing property graphs.
Learn more about the Modeler interface in the following topics:
-
Modeler User Interface
The Modeler user interface lets you create new property graphs and edit existing ones. -
Creating a Property Graph from Foreign Keys
You can automatically generate a property graph from the selected database tables by detecting foreign key relationships. -
Creating a Property Graph Using the Visual Editor
The visual editor in Modeler enables you to build a property graph interactively by adding vertices and edges to a canvas. You can create a graph from scratch, continue editing a graph created using Auto Map or Graph AI Assistant, configure graph elements, preview the graph structure, and finally create the graph in the database. -
Creating a Property Graph by Editing an Existing Graph
You can create a new property graph by making a copy of an existing graph. -
Using Graph AI Assistant in Modeler
The Graph AI Assistant feature in Modeler enables you to use natural language to create, review, and modify property graphs. You can describe the graph or the changes you want, and the Graph AI Assistant generates or updates the graph accordingly. -
Editing an Existing Property Graph
You can edit an existing property graph in Modeler. -
Configuring Graph Options in Modeler
When creating or updating a SQL property graph, you can set Graph options in Modeler to control graph validation and property datatype handling for a SQL property graph. -
Managing Vertex and Edge Details
You can update the keys, labels, references, and properties for the vertices and edges in a property graph. -
Assigning Multiple Labels to a Vertex or an Edge
You can assign multiple labels to a vertex or an edge element of a SQL property graph. -
Handling Errors and Warnings While Creating a Graph
While creating a property graph, Modeler validates the configured graph elements and reports any errors and warnings. -
Configuring Modeler Settings
The Settings dialog enables you to configure preferences for Modeler, database synchronization, and Graph AI Assistant. These settings are applied to your Modeler session.
