Understanding M&V Calculation Groups

M&V calculation groups are collections of M&V calculation rules that are used to calculate M&V transactions which capture the results of the regression analysis and calculations preformed on those results (see About  M&V Transactions). The rules within an M&V calculation group are defined in a specific sequence, allowing control over the order in which the rules are executed.

M&V calculation groups are associated with specific M&V subscriptions. When assigned to M&V subscriptions, M&V calculation groups contain the M&V calculation rules to be used to calculate M&V transactions associated with events for the program associated with the M&V subscription.

M&V calculation groups are defined by the following:

  • Division: The division to which the calculation group belongs.

  • Calculation Group Class: The class to which the M&V calculation group belongs (default is Measurement and Verification Calculation Group).

  • Measurement and Verification Calculation Rules List: One or more M&V calculation rules belonging to the M&V group
