Understanding M&V Options

Configuration Overview

Configuring the system for M&V processing involves creating the following types of administrative data.

Configure M&V Calculation Groups & Rules

Create M&V calculation groups and rules to perform any needed calculations on regression output quantities. If different types of customers will uses different calculations, you will to create separate M&V calculation groups and rules for each. Refer to Understanding M&V Calculation Groups and Understanding M&V Calculation Rules for more information about these.

Configure M&V Subscription Types

Create M&V subscription types for each type of customer for which you'll perform regression analysis and related calculations. Reference the appropriate M&V Calculation Groups on each subscription type. Refer to Understanding M&V Subscription Types for more information about these.

Create Device Population and Control Groups

Create Device Population and Control Groups for the different types of groups of customers for which you plan to run M&V processing. Refer to Understanding Device Population and Control Groups for more information about these.

Configure Dynamic Aggregation

Configure the following objects used with Dimension Scanning and Find Constituents dynamic aggregation processing. Refer to the corresponding sections in Understanding Dynamic Aggregation Options and Configuring Dynamic Aggregation Options for more information about these objects.
