Understanding Resource Charges

An employee may report time and equipment usage as well as miscellaneous other direct charges against an activity they have worked. The resource charges are then produced and posted to the Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management application.

These reports are not critical to the activity completion process and as such, not considered as activity completion information. The mobile application sends a separate message for each report when the employee marks it as complete.

Completed reports are locally queued and when the device is connected, the mobile application automatically delivers them to the server.

By default, time and resource usage reports may not be entered against a completed activity unless explicitly permitted to do so on the Work Management Master Configuration.

If the employee is allowed to complete the activity they may report time for the entire crew otherwise they may only enter time for themselves.

Note: Time and resource usage reports initiated from the mobile application are yet to be approved as usual by an authorized user using the main application.
