Adding a Bill Segment Selection Criteria in a Settlement Construct

While defining a construct, you need to indicate the bill segments that you want to bill through a settlement account. You can use an existing settlement account. The system allows you to select multiple bill segments based on the criteria using the bill segment selection template.

Prerequisites

To add a bill segment selection criteria in a settlement construct, you should have:

  • Bill segment selection templates defined in the application

  • Settlement account defined in the application (in case you want to use an existing settlement account)

Procedure

To add a bill segment selection criteria in a settlement construct:

  1. Ensure that the Include Bill Segments zone is expanded while adding, editing, or removing bill segment selection criteria in a settlement construct on the Construct screen.
  2. Click the Add link at the top-right corner of the Include Bill Segments zone.
    The Selection Criteria screen appears. It contains the following fields:
    Field Name Field Description Mandatory (Yes or No)
    Effective Start Date Used to specify the date from when the bill segments in a construct is effective.
    Note: You can either manually specify the date or select it using the Date Picker (The Date Picker Icon) icon corresponding to the field.
    		 Yes
    Effective End Date Used to specify the date till when the bill segments in a construct is effective.
    Note:

    You can either manually specify the date or select it using the Date Picker (The Date Picker Icon) icon corresponding to the field.

    The effective end date of the selection criteria cannot be later than the effective end date of the construct.

    		 Yes
    Priority Used to specify the priority of a bill segments. Yes
    Template Used to indicate the template that defines which bill segments are included in the construct.
    Note: The Search (The Search Icon) icon appears corresponding to this field. On clicking the Search icon, the Template Search window appears.
    		 Yes
    Settlement Account ID Used to specify the settlement account through which the receivables or payables for the bill segments are settled.
    Note: The Search (The Search Icon) icon appears corresponding to this field. On clicking the Search icon, the Account Search window appears.
    		 Yes
    Criteria Description Used to specify the description for the bill segments selection. No
    Sequence No. Displays the sequence of bind variable execution if multiple variables are defined. Not Applicable
    Bind Variable Displays the bind variable (which is used in the where clause). Not Applicable
    Value Used to specify the value for the bind variable. Yes
  3. Enter the required details and click Save.
  4. If you want to add more than one bill segment selection criteria in a settlement construct, click Save and Add New button in the Selection Criteria screen and repeat step 3.
    The bill segment selection criteria in a settlement construct is added.
