Stored Value Solutions (SVS) Processor

The SVS Processor is an extension to the XProcessor Extension Application. It provides access to the SVS gift card service. This section describes how to configure the SVS XProcessor plug-in.

Here is a listing of the supported operations for the SVS Processor:

  • Activate

  • Authorize

  • Cash Out

  • *Optional - Enable Bonus Gift Card

  • Finalize

  • Inquire

  • Issue

  • Redeem

  • Reload

  • Void Reload

This figure shows the data workflow from the workstation’s service host running POS Operations to the SVS Host. A workstation operator presses a specific gift card operation button in POS Operations, and this triggers logic in the XProcessor Extension Application, which triggers the SVS Processor logic, which then communicates with the hosted SVS Web Service.
Setting up the SVS Processor consists of adding or modifying records in the following EMC modules:

  • Content

  • Interfaces / Payments module

  • Page Design

  • Service Charges

  • Tender/Media

If you are an existing SVS customer, you can continue using your SVS Processor configuration, but you must be using the latest release package, which is Version 1.2.2.22.
