Close a schedule

As a location administrator, you can close a schedule at any time. For example, you may need close a schedule if you no longer want to perform a particular type of appointment there any longer.

To close a schedule:
  1. Select Locations/Scheduling from the Home page.

    Note:

    If you cannot see the Locations/Scheduling option on the Home page, contact your Oracle Customer Success manager to activate it.
  2. If your organization includes more than one location for appointments, select the location from the drop-down menu of the location icon. The icon is located next to your account name in the product banner. It looks like the location icon you see on maps: Shows a location icon
  3. Select the Schedules tab.
  4. Select Manage Schedules.
  5. In the Appointment Type field at the top of the page, select the type of appointment you want to manage from the drop-down list (if not done already).
  6. Select Schedule a Closing to open the Schedule a Closing page. You see the location details and it's status (Active or Inactive) at the top.
  7. Select the appointment type that you want to clear from the Appointment Type drop-down menu (if necessary). (If you do not select an appointment type, the system clears all the appointment types.)
  8. In the Closing Name field, enter a name for the closed schedule.
  9. Select This is a single-day closing or This closing is for more than one day. Then use the calendar icon to select the date (or start and end dates).
  10. Select the Start Time and End Time that you want to clear using the drop-down menus. You see an Impact Info message how many appointments you plan to clear (if any scheduled).
  11. Select Preview Schedule.
  12. Review the schedule details on the calendar and check the date or dates you selected.

    Note:

    • If the closing conflicts with another closing or the closing impacts appointments, you see alert messages. For example, for scheduling conflicts, you see options to select Reschedule what is possible, cancel all others or Cancel all affected appointments.
    • If you select an option to reschedule an appointment, Oracle COVID-19 Patient Monitoring System automatically reschedules the appointment for the participant automatically. The participant gets notified and call to reschedule if needed.
  13. Select Create Closing. You see closing message at the top of the screen.
  14. Review the schedule on the calendar and check the date or dates you selected. You see details on the type of appointment and times that you closed.
