.
To create a patient record in Oracle HIMCS Mobile:
  1. Sign in to Oracle HIMCS Mobile and select Add Records from the bottom of the screen.
  2. Enter the required patient details. For example, enter the patient first and last name, data of birth, sex, address, identification (Identity card or passport), and contact method (email, text, phone call, or no contact). (You must include the country code when you enter a phone number.) If necessary, scroll down the screen to see all the fields. For example, you may need to enter the region, department, and district from a drop-down menu. When done, select Next.
  3. Enter the procedure details. For example:
    • Outcome (required): Select Administered (record details on vaccination done), Self Reported (record any related procedures that occurred before the appointment), Unable to Administer. (If you select Unable to Administer, select the reason why the patient did not receive the vaccine. You can also add notes. Then skip to step 4.)
    • Manufacturer Name: Select the name of the manufacturer for the product and the disease it prevents. This choice automatically populates the Product Name and Disease Name fields.
    • Lot Number (required): Record the vaccine lot number.
    • Lot Expiration Date (required): Select the calender icon to select the expiration month, day, and year for the vaccine if not already populated. Use the left and right arrows at the top of the calendar to move backward or forward in months and years. You must use a valid date (today or later).
    • Dose Number: Select Dose 1, Dose 2, Dose 3, Dose 4, or Dose 5.
    • Dose (required): Enter the dosage amount in milliliters (mL) if not already populated.
    • Administered Route: Select Intramuscular route from the drop-down menu.
    • Injection Site: Select the right or left location on the body where you inoculated the patient.
    • Date Administered: Select the calendar icon and select the date. The date defaults to the current date. You can choose today or a date in the past.
    • Vaccination Information Sheet Provided: Select the checkbox if you gave the patient a sheet with information on the vaccine. It may contain details on the contents of a vaccine and what (if any) side effects to look for.
  4. Select Review and check the details you just entered. If you need to make changes, select Cancel (or Back) and make the necessary changes. If you need to cancel you changes, select Discard when prompted.

    Note:

Do not leave your application inactive during this process. If it times out and your session expires, you can lose your data. You may need to sign in and add the record again.
  5. Select Add Records to save the data. The record automatically uploads to the main Oracle Health Immunization Management right away or when the active mobile device connects to the Internet. You can find the patient data listed under the Patients tab in the main Oracle Health Immunization Management system.

    Note:

You can edit the patient record as you would any patient data in Oracle Health Immunization Management once it uploads from the mobile app. For more information, see Edit patient registration details. If the record uploads with errors, only an administrator can access the record and make changes as described in Manage Oracle HIMCS Mobile uploaded records.
