Configuring Images

Use Image Management to configure images you'd like to display within various areas of OPERA Cloud, including a property logo image to output on stationery such as the guest registration card, folios and receipts.

You can either upload images from your device or workstation, or reference external images available on your website or content management system.

Using Image Management, you can configure images for the following configuration :

  • Attractions: Images such as theme parks, historic sites, and so on. Attractions these to appear in the property brochure.

  • Floor Plan: Layouts of each floor. You can configure areas for the rooms on these floor plan images. For more information, see Configuring Floor Plans . Floor plan images are used in Rooms Management and Front Desk. See Viewing Floor Plans for more information.

  • Function Space: Function space images that can be viewed from the Function Diary. See Function Space Management for more information.

  • Item Inventory: Images of equipment, products, supplies, or services that are sold in reservations or events.

  • Logo: Images of your property’s logo. See Configuring Property Brochure Master Data for more information. The property logo image also appears on stationery and reports.

  • Maps: Add a locator or road map and directions to your property for the property brochure maps and directions. See Configuring Property Brochure Master Data for more information.

  • Nationality: Images that symbolize different nationalities. See Managing Nationality Codes for more information.

  • Out Of Order / Service: Images assigned to Out of Order and Out of Service codes as visual aides. Configure these for Room Management Floor Plan, Out of Order/Out of Service, EZ Task, or Task Companion. See Configuring Out of Order and Out of Service Reasons for more information.

  • Package: Images representing packages and package components. Configure these for Reservations and Book Now enhancements. See Package Codes for more information.

  • Property: Property images to appear in the property brochure. See Configuring Property Brochure Master Data for more information.

  • Room: Images of specific rooms by room number/room name. See Configuring Room Codes for more information.

  • Room Condition: Images that indicate room conditions. See Room Conditions for more information.

  • Room Maintenance: Images for room maintenance requests. See Configuring Room Maintenance Codes for more information.

  • Room Type: Images of types, such as king or deluxe. See Configuring Room Types for more information.

  • Site Plan: Images of the property layout, buildings, pools, restaurants, and so on. See Configuring Property Brochure Master Data for more information.

  • Track It Type: Images that symbolize the different types of Track It items. See Configuring Track It Types for more information.

Adding Images

You can upload images in PNG, JPG, JPEG, and GIF file formats. Images larger than 300 KB are automatically scaled and compressed upon upload.

  1. From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Image Management, then select Image Type .

  2. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Code: Select a code from the list.

    2. Sequence: Enter a sequence.

    3. Set Image as Primary: Select check box to set as the primary image.

    4. Website: Enter website URL.

    5. Description: Enter a description.

    6. Choose Image Source.

      1. Image from Device.

        1. Click Choose Image to upload image from your device or workstation.

        2. Navigate to the folder, select an image and click Open.

      2. External Image via URL. Select to reference an external web image.

        1. URL: Enter or paste the image URL

    7. Click Save.

Editing Images

  1. From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Image Management, then select Image Type .

  2. Enter search criteria then click Search.

  3. Select an image in the search result, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

  4. Update details and image.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Images

  1. From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Image Management, then select Image Type .

  2. Enter search criteria then click Search.

  3. Select an image in the search result, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
