Manage Alternate Accounts page

The Manage Alternate Accounts page lists the alternate accounts for the principal account and supports adding, editing, enabling and disabling, and deleting alternate accounts.

To navigate to the Manage Alternate Account page:
  1. In the left navigation pane, select the Settings icon (Settings icon).
  2. In the Manage Users section, select Edit Users.
  3. Select the Row Action menu (Row Action menu icon), of the user to be the principal user and then select Edit. You can edit only users in the same login group as you are in.
  4. From the list of links at the bottom of the page, select the Manage Alternate Accounts link.

    The Manage Alternate Accounts page appears and displays the principal user and a list of alternate accounts associated with the principal account.

General activities

The following links appear the top of the Manage Alternate Accounts page and affect the entire page:

You can specify the number of Rows Per Page to display by providing a number in the Rows Per Page field.

Row-specific activities

The following options may be available from the Row Action menu in the column to the left of each alternate account and affect that alternate account:

  • Edit: Select to open the Edit Alternate Account page.
  • Disable and Enable: If the alternate account status is enabled, then the option displays as Disable. If the alternate account status is disabled, then the option displays as Enable.
  • Delete: Select to confirm that the account is to be deleted.

Field descriptions—Manage Alternate Accounts page

The Manage Alternate Accounts page provides the following information about alternate account. You can customize the information shown using the Columns link at the top of the page.

Column Description

User Name

Unique name of the user account.

Name

Full name (first name and last name) associated with the user account.

First Name User's first name.
Last Name User's surname.
ID Unique number of the user account.
Created Date and time when the user was created.
Email Email address associated with the user name. This address (or addresses, separated by commas) is the default notification address for runs if the run creator chooses email notification. This address is also used when a user with the Administer Users permission with appropriate permissions sends a message to all users, and it is used when a message is generated by a topic email notification rule.

Login Group

Appears only if you are a superuser. Login group associated with the user.

Status

One of these values:
  • Enabled—The user can log in to the application.
  • Disabled—The user cannot log in.
  • P/Disabled—The principal account is disabled.

Note:

This value is determined by the Account disabled check box on the Edit User page.
Quota Maximum amount of server space in megabytes (MB) that the user is permitted to use for creating runs. Blank for users who do not have a quota (that is, unlimited runs permitted).
