Operating Systems Installation Procedure Overview
The following table describes the high-level steps for installing a supported
operating system.

Review the server product notes.
|

Install the server hardware.
|
|

|
Configure the Oracle ILOM service processor.
|
|

|
Review the supported OS versions.
|
|

|
Set up the boot environment, console, boot media, and
installation target that you will use to perform the
installation.

|
(Oracle VM only) Set up a second system with a static IP
address on which you can install the Oracle VM Manager. This
system must have one of the following
operating
systems installed:

Oracle Linux 5 Update 5, 64-bit or later

Oracle Linux 6, 64-bit or later
-
Oracle Linux 7, 64-bit or later

Install the OS.

Perform the post installation tasks, if applicable.
