Editing a topic

1.         Click the Topics tab.

The Topics page appears.

2.         Click the row menu (Row menu) for a topic, and then click Edit.

The Topic page appears. For information about the section of the page, see Sections of the topic page.

3.         In the Topic General Information section, select values from drop-down lists or type values in the fields.

4.         If your changes are complete, click Save.

You can make changes in the other sections:

A.        In the Topic Links section, do any of the following:

  1. To select a topic and link it to the current topic, click Add Topic Link. Follow the steps in Linking topics.
  2. To view a linked topic, click Row menu, and then click View.
  3. To remove a link, click Row menu, and then click Remove Link.

B.        In the Topic Comments section, click Add Comments to add a comment.

When a comment is added it cannot be modified or removed. For more information, see Adding and viewing comments.

C.        In the Topic Attachments section, click Add Topic Attachment to add a document-style attachment (for example, file, URL, or note). For more information, see Adding a document-style attachment.

D.        In the Topic Actions section, click Add Topic Action to add an action. For more information, see Adding a topic action.

5.         Click Save.
