On the Manage Action State page, you can add, modify, and delete the action states.

In this section, you can view the information for each action state.


Field

Description

Name

Name of the action state.

Description

Description of the action state.

Initial State

Select Yes for the workflow state assigned automatically to a new action when it is added.

Select No for a state to indicate the action is in progress or closed.

Final State

Select Yes for a workflow state to indicate no further information is expected to be gathered for an action.

Select No for a state to indicate an action is new (initial state) or in progress.

Note: You can set a topic workflow configuration option to require an action to have an associated comment or attachment before a final state can be assigned to it. See Editing Workflow Configuration Options for more information.

Next Possible States

States that a user can assign to an action that is in this state. Determines the transitions that are possible from one state to another.
