12c (12.2.1.1) — June 2016

Feature Description
Trash

In the WebCenter Content UI, deleting items sends them to the Trash folder instead of being permanently deleted. See Deleting Libraries, Folders, and Documents.

Hybrid Enterprise Content Management (HECM)

In the WebCenter Content UI, you can integrate Oracle WebCenter Content with Oracle Documents Cloud Service to share, copy, and upload content to the cloud server and maintain an easy access to content on the go. See Working with Oracle Documents Cloud Service.

Scan

The process of uploading documents through a scanner has changed in this release. See Uploading Documents from a Web Browser.

Upgrading Inbound Refinery

You can upgrade older versions of the Inbound Refinery (IBR) to the current release. Earlier, newer versions of Inbound Refinery had to be installed instead of being upgraded.

Feature Description

Oracle Documents Cloud Service (DOCS) commit driver

Use the Oracle Documents Cloud Service commit driver to commit documents from Capture to DOCS. See Configuring an Oracle Documents Cloud Service Commit Profile.

Enhancement of DOCS commit driver to support DOCS metadata

Ability to create metadata collections and optionally include selected system fields to metadata collections. See Configuring an Oracle Documents Cloud Service Commit Profile.

Recognition Processor support on all certified operating system platforms.

Recognition Processor support on all certified operating system platforms with the introduction of the Universal Decoder bar code engine. See Managing Recognition Processing.

Capturing and use of TWAIN related metadata

Ability to control and receive the scanner’s imprinter/endorser string and the ability to retrieve bar codes, patch codes, and MICR values recognized by the scanner. See ImageCaptureEngine.

Updates to File Information window in the Capture client

Addition of Endorsement and MICR properties to the File Information window in the Capture client. See How do I view file information?
