Configuring Administrator Privileges (UNIX)

Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Plug-In for Oracle Hardware contains a utility called hwmgmtcli that is responsible for getting information from the Oracle ILOM service processor. Running the hwmgmtcli utility on a the following operating systems requires configuration of sudo:

  • Oracle Solaris Operating System

  • Linux based operating systems

On servers running these operating systems, the Enterprise Management agent needs to be granted Administrator privileges so that the Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Plug-In for Oracle Hardware can successfully communicate with the Oracle ILOM service processor using the IPMI interface.
