Various manager classes can facilitate communication between the view controllers and the server. One of these managers is ATGTargetingManager. It is responsible for retrieving targeting results from the server and then displaying them on the homepage of CRS-IUA.

The homepage of CRS-IUA implements the same UI design as CRS-M in that it divides the screen into two major sections, each of which slides or scrolls horizontally. The same targeters deliver the homepage content for CRS-M and CRS-IUA, although in the case of CRS-IUA, the targeters are invoked through REST with the ATGTargetingManager.

The UI design and layout of the homepage is discussed in detail in the CRS-M white paper in the section entitled “Homepage”, in the “Low Level Architecture – How Pages Work” section.

Note that the same targeters serve content to both CRS-M and CRS-IUA homepages and these can be configured through the Oracle ATG Web Commerce Business Control Center. Currently they take advantage of the existing segments defined by the Commerce Reference Store sample data, however these can be configured to your needs or expanded upon to provide additional homepage data.
