Mapping Generic Room Block to Property-Specific Room Types

After a generic Room Block is created, the administrator must map the property-specific room types to the generic Room Block types. This facilitates the conversion of generic Room Block items during the Create Quote process. This process assumes that the administrator has already created the appropriate room types for the property. For more information, see Creating Sleeping Rooms.

This task is a step in Process of Setting Up Products and Assets.

To map a generic Room Block to a property-specific room type

1. From the application-level menu, choose Navigate > Site Map > Product Administration.
2. In the Products list, query for products of type Generic Room Block.
3. In the product record, click the link in the Name field.
4. Click the Specific Products view tab.
5. In the Specific Products list, click New.
6. In the Add Specific Product dialog box, select the appropriate property-specific room type, and then click OK.
7. Save the record.
