Reviewing Revenue Estimates for Quote Functions


The Functions Revenue Estimates view shows the estimated revenue for both the sum of the line items and the average values for the quote. Because function revenues are associated with parent categories for revenue rollup purposes, the revenue estimates are displayed according to parent category.

This task is a step in Process of Managing Property-Specific Event Quotes.

To review function revenue estimates

  1. Navigate to the Quotes screen > List view.
  2. In the Quotes list, query for the quote.
  3. In the Quote record, click the link in the Name field.
  4. Click the Functions view tab and select the function in the list.
  5. Scroll down and click the Revenue Estimates view tab.
  6. In the Revenue Estimates list, review the information.

    The following table describes some of the fields.

    Parent Category

    The parent category with which function space revenues are associated.

    Projected Revenue - Total

    Defaults to the Average Value Total. The user can update the value after consulting with the customer during the quote process.

    Projected Revenue Per Person

    Displays the projected revenue per attendee. The Projected Revenue Total is divided by the Set number of attendees.

    If the Set number is unknown, then it is divided by the Guaranteed number of attendees.

    If the Guaranteed number is unknown, then it is divided by the Projected number of attendees.

    If the projected number is unknown, then it is divided by the expected number of attendees.

    Average Value Total

    Shows the average value for a given function type or business type on the date of the function by parent category. This value is set by the revenue managers as a guideline.

    Average Value Per Person

    Displays the average value per attendee. The Average Value Total is divided by the Set number of attendees.

    If the Set number is unknown, then the total is divided by the Guaranteed number of attendees.

    If the Guaranteed number is unknown, then the total is divided by the Projected number of attendees.

    If the Projected number is unknown, then the total is divided by the Expected number of attendees.

    Line Item Expected Profit

    Displays the expected profit for the sum of the line items. Calculated by multiplying Total Line Item Revenue by the profit percentage.

    Total Line Item Revenue

    Sum of the revenue for the line items.

    Per Person Line Item Revenue

    Displays the line item revenue per attendee. Total Line Item Revenue divided by the Set number of attendees.

    If the Set number is unknown, then the revenue is divided by the Guaranteed number of attendees.

    If the Guaranteed number is unknown, then the revenue is divided by the Projected number of attendees.

    If the Projected number is unknown, then the revenue is divided by the Expected number of attendees.

    Projected Profit

    Displays the projected profit for the function. Calculated by multiplying the Projected Revenue Total by the profit percentage defined in the Property Pricing Admin screen > Profit Series view.
