Creating a Sales Hierarchy
As an administrator, you can create one or more sales hierarchies for your organization. For example, you might have a direct hierarchy which includes the sales force, and another overlay hierarchy for product marketing and product specialists. To create a sales hierarchy
- From the application-level menu, choose View > Site Map > Incentive Compensation Sales Hierarchies Administration > Sales Hierarchy Definition.
- In the Sales Hierarchy Definition list, click New.
- In the new record, complete the Name field.
- (Optional) Complete the Organization, Evaluation Sequence, and Credit Validation Rules fields.

Credit Validation Rules |
Select the validation rules for validating credit assignments. For more information, see Sales Crediting. |
Evaluation Sequence |
Indicates the sequence number for Sales Crediting to evaluate the crediting rules. For more information, see Sales Crediting. |
Name |
Name of the new sales hierarchy. |
Organization |
Name of the organization that should have access to this sales hierarchy. |
