   Installing the BEA Tuxedo System

Setting Up Your Environment on a UNIX System

Before you can invoke BEA Tuxedo system commands, you need to set several environment variables. This section describes the environment variables that you must set and export on a UNIX system.

Note: If you are using a Windows NT platform, see Modifying Environment Variables in Using the BEA Tuxedo System on Windows NT.

The following list provides descriptions and sample settings of the four environment variables required on a UNIX platform. It is assumed that the Bourne shell is being used. A Bourne shell script called tux.env, located in the base directory you specified at installation time, serves as a model for setting these variables.
