Documentation Enhancements

This release of the product includes the following documentation enhancements:
  • A simplified description of the concepts and development process for C++ and Java WLE applications. See Getting Started.
  • A new topic Using Server-to-Server Communication, which describes using callback objects in C++ and Java joint client/server applications.
  • A new document, Technical Articles, which provides select topics on the CORBA programming model and two design patterns: the Process-Entity pattern, and the Client Data Caching pattern.
  • An enhanced search applet to help you locate topics. You can enter queries for strings that include periods (.) and underscores (_). You can focus your searches by selecting the type of documents in which to search. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher, in found documents, the search feature also can highlight the keywords you entered. (If you are using Netscape, keyword highlighting is not supported in the search applet.)
  • An updated Bookshelf, which provides PDF versions of the WebLogic Enterprise documents.
