This document is intended for use by the Sun Mainframe Transaction Processing software (Sun MTP) administrator, system programmer, or other individual who is familiar with the operating environment under which the software executes and the configuration of IBM CICS environments. Before using this document, install Sun MTP and any other software you will be running, such as COBOL or the Sun Mainframe Batch Manager software (Sun MBM), and verify your installation using the sample application.
Chapter 1 describes the configuration tasks and the user interface.
Chapter 2 describes the environment variables that define a region and how to set them.
Chapter 3 explains how to start a region, make a local connection, and stop a region.
Chapter 4 provides guidelines for configuring transaction servers, recovery, and shared memory.
Chapter 5 describes how to set up your application environment using the system tables.
Chapter 6 describes how to configure region-wide recovery, as well as recovery on individual VSAM files.
Chapter 7 describes how to set up your system to use the resource definition file.

Appendix A illustrates how different UNIX systems and personal computer keyboard functions map to 3270 keyboards.
