How to Install the DVD Drive

1. Prepare the server for service. See How to Prepare the Server for Service.
2. Remove the front bezel. See How to Remove the Front Bezel.
3. Align the new drive with the chassis bay.

   The top of the drive should face the center of the chassis..

4. Push the drive into the bay until the face of the drive is even with the front of the chassis.

   Metal spring-clips inside the chassis grip the drive and hold it in place.

   
   
5. Reconnect the flex-cable connector to the connector on the rear of the drive.
   
6. Install the front bezel. See How to Remove the Front Bezel.

   Note - When you insert a disc into the vertical slot of the DVD-ROM drive, the label on the disk must face left (toward the chassis center).
