The Search Term query fact provides information about searches performed. The Search Term is the word entered by the end user, while the Search Group represents the search term after transformation by the Search engine. Normalization can include trimming plural forms (so that a search for “chairs” returns “chair”), spelling correction, and expansion to thesaurus entries. For details on such transformations, see the ATG Search Query Reference Guide. The Word Count is the number of words in the search.

The Search Term regular dimension has one hierarchy, with levels for the search term and term group.
