The time-series model view is shown in the figure below. It contains model query subjects based on the database tables described in the Time Tables section of the Common Database Tables chapter. The Time Interval query subject is used in the reporting user interface prompts.
The Date and Return Date query subjects and the Time and Return Time query subjects are based on the same data, but have different titles for clarity in reports.
Each is represented by a dimension.
The Date dimension includes three hierarchies, which divide the year into months, quarters, and weeks.
