In order to run an internationalized Dynamo Web site, you may have to set the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) locale. By default, the JVM locale is the locale of the platform on which the JVM is installed. To override the default JVM locale, you must set the appropriate language and region (country) arguments in the server environment. You can do this by adding these arguments to the file (UNIX) or environment.bat file (Windows).

For example, you can add the following line to an environment.bat file to change the JVM locale to French:

set JAVA_ARGS=-Duser.language=fr -Duser.region=FR %JAVA_ARGS%

Note that the JVM locale determines the Dynamo server locale, which is used for the resourceBundles that generate Dynamo server messages and log file messages.
