G Exporting the F1099T File

If you want to export the F1099T Transmittal file in a TXT format, you can run the Export F1099T to IRSTAX.TXT program (P045155). This program generates the F1099T file in a TXT format that resides in your IFS directory, which you can send to a third party.

Before You Begin

• Set up an IFS directory for the import/export process. See Set Up Import/Export in the Technical Tools Guide.

• Generate the F1099T file. See Filing 1099 Returns Electronically.

G.1 Creating the IRSTAX.txt File

After you generate the F099T file, you run the Export F1099T to IRSTAX.TXT program (P045155) to generate the data in the IRSTXT.txt file in a text format.
