You can duplicate an existing site by selecting a site and using the Duplicate menu option in the Action menu. This creates a new site based upon the existing site. You can only select a single site at a time to duplicate.
Sites duplication uses a feature known as Quick Edit properties, which are a subset of one or more properties and are used for specific operations. When you duplicate a site, all of the values of the existing site are copied. This includes the following properties:
Site ID – Although this field is generated automatically, you can modify the Site ID as needed.
Site Name – The name of the site will be the same of the old site with ‘(copy)’ appended to it. For example, March Site (copy).
Enabled Status – The status is set to disabled by default.
Created By/Date – Contains the name of user who created the copy, and the date on which the copy was made.
Last Modified By/Date – Contains the name of the user who last modified the copy, and the date on which the modification was made.
Once you have made the modifications to the new site, click Create to save any changes and create the new site.
