When you edit a site category, you cannot edit the site category ID, which is provided by the system. If you change the name of the site category to a name that is already in use, an error will display indicating that the site category cannot be saved. You must provide a unique name before the edits that you have made can be saved.
To edit a site category, perform the following from the Business Control Center:
Log into the Business Control Center and select Site Administration.
Click the Site Categories link.
Highlight the site category to edit.
Use the Action button to select Edit from the menu drop down. Begin editing the site category.
You can save the changes you made to the site category by clicking Save. Clicking Revert will erase your changes and keep the site category in its previous version.
