Upgrading the Kernel

You can upgrade the Oracle Virtual Networking host driver on a host. When you upgrade, you change the OS from a kernel that has a base kernel version to an OS that has a final kernel version. For more information, see Kernel Upgrade Method.


Note -  By upgrading a kernel, it is possible to change from an unbundled host driver to an embedded host driver. See Behavior of Unbundled and Embedded Host Drivers.
