Upgrading the Kernel

You can upgrade the Oracle Virtual Networking host driver on a host. When you upgrade, you change the OS from a kernel that has a base kernel version to an OS that has a final kernel version. For more information, see Kernel Upgrade Method.

You can use any of the following methods to upgrade the kernel:

• Installing Host Drivers (Local Disk Method)

• Installing the Kernel to Local Disk (PXE Installation Method)

• Installing the Kernel to iSCSI and vHBA Disk (PXE Installation Method)
