Embedded Host Driver Activation Method
Embedded host drivers occur when the Oracle Virtual Networking host driver is no
longer a stand-alone RPM that you install. Instead, the host driver is built into
the OS itself. In this situation, the host driver does not need to be installed, but
rather activated within the OS.

With the embedded host drivers, you do not need to upgrade, because the host
drivers are already in the server OS. As a result, you only need to install the user
space package to start or enable the services at boot time.
