You can change the password for a customer at any time. This is useful when the customer feels that the security of the current password is in jeopardy, or the customer cannot remember the current password.

To change a customer’s password:

  1. Activate the customer as outlined in Searching For Customers.

  2. Click the customer’s name in the global context area. This brings up the customer’s profile page.

  3. Click the Email New Password link. The system will generate a new password and e-mail it to the customer at the e-mail address provided.

  4. A message will appear identifying that a new password has been generated and that the new password will be sent.
