Manually Uninstall Components on an Oracle Solaris 11 Server

Before You Begin

• To uninstall Hardware Management Pack components manually, you must be logged in to your system with root privileges.

• The packages for Hardware Management Pack have dependencies that must be observed for a successful uninstallation. See Software Dependencies for more information.

1. Determine which components you want to uninstall. See Available Packages for Oracle Solaris 11.

   ---

   Note -  The following package dependencies exist.

   • hmp-libs must be uninstalled after all other Hardware Management packages have been uninstalled.

   • hmp-snmp must be uninstalled before hmp-hwmgmt is uninstalled.

   • hmp-zoningcli is only available for SPARC servers running Oracle Solaris OS.

2. To uninstall the packages, use the following command:

   pkg uninstall package-name

   where package-name is one of the packages listed in Available Packages for Oracle Solaris 11.
