Some Utilities Run Slowly on SPARC T3 Systems (15705545)

The hwmgmtd utility might not provide accurate results when run on a SPARC T3 system.

Some other Oracle Hardware Management Pack utilities (such as raidconfig and hwmgmtcli) can also run very slowly on a SPARC T3 system.

These problems are due to a Oracle Solaris issue documented in issue 6937169.

Workaround

1. Disable the affected utility.

2. Issue the following commands:

   ---

   Note -  Make sure that you read the mdb documentation carefully before issuing these commands.

   ---

   # mdb -kw
   > ddi_aliases_present/W 0

3. Re-enable the utility.
