Do Not Change Hostmanaged Setting to "False" for the Host-to-ILOM Interconnect From Oracle ILOM

For several Oracle Hardware Management Pack commands and M series servers that require the use of the Host-to-ILOM interconnect, you should not set the "hostmanaged" property (found under /SP/network/interconnect) when logged into Oracle ILOM to "false".

If the hostmanaged setting is changed to "false" from the Oracle ILOM side, and then the state of the interconnect is set to either disabled or enabled, applications running on the host will not be able to detect the change in state and important functions on the host side might fail. This could affect Oracle Hardware Management Pack commands that use and configure the interconnect, and also M series servers with multiple service processors that use it to provide SP failover.

If you need to modify Host-to-ILOM interconnect settings with the host OS running, use the Oracle Hardware Management Pack ilomconfig command from the host.
