Human Resources

United States Army

The United States Army rolled out PeopleSoft Human Resources for its population of over one million soldiers allowing the Army to transform from an industrial age personnel system to a 21st century talent management system.

Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) is the Army's flagship human resources and talent management modernization effort. IPPS-A provides soldiers with the flexibility to operate on the move, accessing their personnel records on a mobile phone or tablet using their DS logon. Personnel actions through IPPS-A automatically trigger more timely and accurate pay, providing soldiers and their families enhanced financial readiness. Soldiers can submit help inquiries, request updates to their records, and monitor the status of their personnel actions through the app without an in-person trip to a G1/S1 shop (personnel/administrative office). IPPS-A enables the Army to better manage the talents of the total force based on their knowledge, skills, and behaviors.

Army IPPS-A award

Oracle SVP Paco Aubrejuan recognizes the largest PeopleSoft implementation in history with a commemorative plaque presented to Col. Lust and Mr. Guckert of the Army’s groundbreaking Integrated Personnel and Pay (IPPS-A) project.
