Properties that are not contained explicitly within a group are displayed in the default group. If a default group contains one or more required properties, it is displayed at the top of the tab. For example, if an uncategorized group within catalog items contains required properties, it will be displayed on the top of the Advanced Tab. If an uncategorized group within articles contains required properties, it will be displayed on the top of the General Tab.

If a default group does not contain required properties, it is displayed at the bottom of the tab. For example, uncategorized groups within catalog items that do not contain required properties are displayed on the bottom or the Advanced Tab, and uncategorized groups within articles that do not contain required properties are displayed on the bottom of the General Tab.

You can modify this so that all default groups are displayed at the bottom of the tab. Use the /atg/remove/assetmanager/editor/service/TabPropertyFilter.properties file to set the requiredUncategorizedGroupFirst property to false. Uncategorized groups that contain either required and non-required properties will be displayed on the bottom of its respective tab.
