Including the Nucleus component framework in your J2EE application gives you access to the personalization, commerce, and content administration features of the Oracle Commerce Platform in applications that are portable across application servers.
To facilitate development, the Oracle Commerce Platform includes an application assembly tool that you can use to build J2EE enterprise archive (EAR) files that run Nucleus. All necessary Nucleus classes and configuration are included in the EAR file, so you can simply deploy the application and run it. You can even deploy the application on a machine that does not have an Oracle Commerce Platform installation.
