Changing a Password

Any user can log in to Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) to change their own passwords.

Passwords must adhere to the following default password policy:

A password can contain the following character types as long as it has met the minimum character requirements:

A password expires after 180 days. A warning will be sent to a user 30 days before the expiration date to remind them to change their password.

To change your password:

  1. Log in to OIM with your username and password.
  2. In Identity Self Service, under My Profile, click My Information.
  3. In the My Information page, expand Change Password.
  4. In the Old Password field, enter the password that is currently associated with your login username.
  5. In the New Password field, enter the new password that you want associated with your login username.
  6. In the Confirm New Password field, enter the password that you entered in the New Password field.
  7. Click Apply.

    Note: Wait five minutes before logging into an account after you have reset your password.
