Disabling a User's Account
When you disable user accounts, the users that are associated with those accounts will not be able to be authenticated by Oracle Internet Directory or log in to the cloud with Oracle Access Manager.
To disable a user's account:
- Log in to OIM as an administrator.
- In the Users section under Administration, search for the user whose account you want to disable.
- Select the user in the search results table.
- On the User Detail's page, click Disable User.
- (Optional) To disable more than one user:
- In the Disable Users page, click Add Target User.
- In the Advanced Search for Target Users dialog box, search for additional users that you want to disable.
- Select the users that you want to disable and then click Add Selected.
- Click Select.
- (Optional) In the Disable Users page, enter a justification for disabling the user account.
- (Optional) In the Disable Users page, select the effective date on which you want the user account to be disabled.
Notes:
- Setting the effective date on the Disable Users page establishes the date on which a user's account becomes disabled. For example, if you set the effective date five days later than the current date, the user's account will be disabled on the fifth day.
- If you do not set an effective date when you disable a user's account, the user's account will be disabled as soon as you submit the request to disable the user.
- Click Submit.
