The data for configuration of a printer of type Epson TM-88 can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.

The interface and link to a processing unit must be defined and the device-specific operation mode set.

The printer can be used for receipt print or as a remote printer.

Only select a value higher than "0" for the debug level if a protocol for the communication of the printer is required for error analysis.


Cut off

Default = 4

Enter the number of lines the receipt is to advance after the last print line and before it is cut off.


Columns

Default 32

Enter the number of characters per line which are to be printed.

Enter a value in this field, to determine the code page index.


Ontime

Default 100

A value in milliseconds is entered in this field to define how long the release magnet is to remain active.


Poll timeout

Default 2000

Enter a value in milliseconds in this field to define at what intervals the status of the printer is to be called up. The appropriate error message is shown if the response is negative.


Request timeout

Default 2000

Enter a value in milliseconds in this field to define at what intervals the printer is to respond to a status query. The appropriate message (printer offline) is shown if the response is negative.


Usage printer

Select one of the options offered by clicking onto this field and with a second click choosing the type of operation required.

The system offers the following types of operation:


Usage drawer

Entry range permitted: numeric 0 - 9

Enter a value (drawer no.) in this field if one drawer is connected and if this is to open from operator and from the payment type. If two drawers are connected, the second drawer is given the value +1. This entry must match up to the entry in Operator and in the appropriate Parameter of the payment type.


Density

Entry range permitted: numeric 0 - 3

Enter a value for the print density of the logo. Please note that the print density affects the size of the printed logo. The higher the solution, the smaller the logo.

The following values are permitted:


NV logo

Entry range permitted: numeric 0 - 99

Enter the number of the NV logo to be loaded from the flash RAM of the printer.

Note:
The printer manufacturer can provide the appropriate software to allow various logo data to be loaded into the flash RAM of the printer.


Invert logo

Switch active: Inverted logo print
Switch deactivated: No inverted logo print


Euro codepage

Switch active: The Euro character set code page is active.
Switch deactivated: The Euro character set code page is deactivated


BMP file

Path and name of the BMP file for logo print

A logo can be printed on the receipt instead of the receipt heading text. If logo print is required, the name of the BMP file and the path in relation to the current work directory (e.g. work dirctory=work.10, BMP file in directory xpm; entry = ../xpm/BMP file name should be entered in this field.

Please note the following:

A BMP file is created with the appropriate program (e.g. "PAINT" for Windows). A colour depth of 1 bit (=2 colours) should be selected.

The size and the ratio of X/Y solution in Pixel is dependent on the printer on which the logo is to be printed.
