Remarks on program function
The data for connection of a payment terminal, type Bankomat can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.
The interface and link to a processing unit have to be defined and the device-specific operating mode of the EFT terminal set.
Note:
This payment terminal for payments with
magnetic cards is only used in Austria. Other parameter settings are
required to operate this device, e.g. the appropriate Payment type with link of the valid Credit card, etc.

Remarks on data fields
The following description deals with all available options for update of this basic data.
As with nearly all other programs the following also applies here:
- The entry mask for this program may differ in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program. Some data fields may be missing.
- There may be defaults or firmly defined selection options for some data fields. These cannot be updated in the current program.
- Fields with enforced entry defined are to be found in the entry masks as are fields where entry is optional.
- If the data record is updated over several pages of entry masks, the dialog window is reached by clicking onto the appropriate button with <Mouse key 1>.
- The same procedure also applies to call up of another update program from this program.
- In some cases you may find so-called "Switches" which are activated or deactivated by the user with <Mouse key 1>, depending on the setting. Activated switches have a dark top, deactivated switches are lighter.
Baudrate

Select one of the baud rates offered by clicking onto this field and with a second click confirming the selection.
The system offers the following baud rates:
- 1200 = default (only set to 9600 baud in exceptional cases and after discussion)
- 9600 baud
Debug
Field with firmly defined selection options
Select one of the offered debug levels by clicking onto this field and confirming the selection with a second click.
The system offers the following debug levels:
- 0 = no protocol of data communication in file "errlog"
- 1 =
- 2 =
- 3 = display of all communication data in file "errlog"
Note:
Only select a value higher than "0" for
the debug level if a protocol of the communication with the payment terminal is
required for error analysis. The details appear in file "errlog" in
directory work of the appropriate system unit.
Euro

Select one of the offered levels by clicking onto this field and with a second click confirming the selection.
The system offers the following settings:
- 3 = no conversion, payment amount in EURO, authorisation to terminal in EURO (use as from 01.01.2002)
Journal mode

Select one of the modes offered by clicking onto this field and with a second click confirming the selection.
The system offers the following settings:
- 0 = For printer with journal and receipt print. No electronic journal is kept.
- 1 = For printers without journal and receipt print. An electronic journal is kept.
