RVM communication

The program description deals with the following:

Remarks on program function

The data for the RVM communication can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.

Click on graphic for further help with programming RVM (Reverse Vending Machine).

This device generally derived from the device TCP communikat. (P). The significant difference is the new attribute "Reset command" where a value can be set to be sent before the connection is done to the IP Address set in Device interfaces.

Note:
Prerequisite for the use  of this device is, that the TCP Address is entered in the device interface (format host:port) an the type IP-Address or Shared IP-Address is used as device interface.

The default value fort he reset command is "reset" and will be use for Tomra devices. For this device the attribute portnumber must be set to 4242 and the attribute device name in device interface must be set to "host:4245" whereas host the content of the attribute Hostname is or at least refers to the same host. For example, the Tomra device with the IP-Address of 10.20.30.40 entered in  etc/hosts as Tomradev, has in attribute "Hostname" the value "Tomradev", in attribute "Portnumber" 4242 and in device name of the device interface the value10.20.30.40:4245.

Remarks on data fields

The following description deals with all available options for update of this basic data.

As with nearly all other programs the following also applies here:

Debug

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the offered debug levels by clicking on this field and with a second click confirming the selection.

The system offers the following debug levels:

Note:
Only select a value higher than "0" for the debug level if a communication protocol is required for error analysis. The details are shown in file "errlog" in directory work of the appropriate system unit.
