By use of this program, you can maintain the data for the IP numbering of items, i.e. create new data records, modify or delete existing data. You can also view already stored data for information purposes. Items are linked to IP numbers and can therefore be called at the administration or POS terminal by use of these numbers.
The item search by IP number takes place at the POS terminal via the keyboard event "IPSEARCH". Further information on this topic can be found in the documentation Item Search by IP Number.
IP numbering is used by retailers in the clothing industry. IP (= Island Pacific) is part of the SVI Corporation.
The IP system is an item numbering pattern for products, preferably in the clothing industry, and is divided into the following 5 number sections:

The input values in the table are the maximum values. A masking and therefore the input limitation of the individual number sections can be predefined in the update program Branch -> Details 2 in the field IP Number Mask.

Just like in almost any other program:
Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999
Enter the number of the company for which you would like to edit the IP number.
For modifications and deletions, call the data record by entering the numbers in the primary key fields. If you do not know the numbers, you can also select the data record via the Search Function.

Enter the number of the group.
Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999
Enter the number of the producer.
Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999
Enter the number of the style.
Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 999
Enter the number of the color.

Enter the number of the size.
Permitted input range: decimal, max. 14 positions
Enter the number of the item to which you would like to assign the IP number.
